For the last 4 years, Surf Express
has been proud to offer the Lost Coast Explorer. She has been
running fishing and surfing charters to the UN-TOUCHED area off of
Coiba Panama. Only a lucky few have see and surfed the waves documented
in many magazine articles and videos.

The
Boat: She is 100' 250
ton steel Explorer Yacht. Is is know as a Marco Built Yacht, and
they are known as some of the top ocean going vessels on the
water. She was tested for years running in the Berring Sea of
Alaska. She has eight (8) double berths each with individual AC
units. The upper berths offer a full bed as a bottom bunk with a
twin up top. While the mid deck berths offer twin bunks.
She offers 1 head for every 2 berths. She offers a large
entertainment room on the lower deck that offers a full size pocker
table, couch, and a large flat screen for escaping the sun and the
outdoors. While the mid deck offers a dining area next to the galley
for those fast snacks and meals.
The Explorer is outfitted with a 12,000lbs
crane to lift the 3 tenders aboard for cruising. The word tender
should be used loosely as she carries one 19' sport boat and 2-24'
aluminum open ocean runners that each have a Mercury 225 outboard.
These will be used to search for the best
wave and to take you on your daily adventures.
Your trip is geared to match up to a Indo Surf Boat Trip without the flights, while we would be hard pressed to say these waves are "Indo Style" we can say there are no crowds (one of the few places we know there will be no-one else at) and on par with some of the best waves Central America has to offer. However the service the Explorer offers is top notch.

- 6 days 6 nights cruising throughout the islands of Coiba National Park and the Azuero Peninsula

- In shore fishing aboard our 24 foot boats and our 18 foot boat fishing for Marlin, Sailfish, Tuna, dorado Cubera Snapper, Rooster Fish, Snook, Travali and other assorted inshore species. (Inshore fishing is an 8 mile radius around the current anchorage site of the Lost Coast Explorer)
- Surfing, surf lessons, surf boards. (We recommend bringing your own boards as our selection is limited and available primarily for guests who break their own board. If you wish to have boards made for you by a Panamanian shaper and delivered to you upon arrival you can do so with advance notice. Contact us for further information about BOA surf boards.
