QUEST 1,  The Ultimate Surf Charter Boat

The Quest 1 will satisfy your thrill for a Luxurious Surf experience across the Mentawai islands. The Quest 1 will bring you to the best spots in Indonesia for Surfing. Operating all over Indonesian Waters, depending on season/ weather conditions from North Sumatra, Mentawais, Java and the Nusa Tenggara Islands in the east of Indonesia. MV Quest 1 (ex Indies Trader 2) is a 21 meter long and 5.4 meter wide and has a draft of 2 meter. The boat has four comfortable, air-conditioned twin cabins for a total 8 guests. The up to 14-day charter trips start from Padang-Sumatra.

Surfing Run Down,  Decisions & Daily Routine:

Depending of the guest preferences and surf level, the captain will find the best possible spot to surf good and un-crowded waves. Normally, after or even before breakfast the first surf is on. Depending on location the crew will bring the surfer by tin boat to the surf (line up). On signal or timing the tin boat will pick up the surfer and bring them back on board. Depending on the waves the guests surf 2-3 sessions per day. If you do not get enough we are happy to drop you off again! Usually lunch will be served after the mid-day session and dinner after the sunset session. In between surfing and eating you can relax, watch a movie, hang out, play games, sleep or even eat more! In the evening we mostly hang out inside or outside areas of the boat, have a few drinks, play poker, or relax and prepare for the next day.

Accommodation,  Food & Beverage:

8 guests: 4 cabins with 2 bunk beds each. With more than 8 guests, arrangements can be made for sleeping on the living area sofa. The guests need to arrange themselves who will get bed/sofa.

Breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks at all times, as well as all beverages (water, tea, coffee, soft drinks and beer) are included.

Snorkel Equipment,  Fishing & Spear Guns

Snorkel equipment, fishing & spear guns: are free of charge and can be used anytime after introduction by the crew and reporting to the captain or Justin.

Tin boat

We provide surf transport to the sports at any time. Transport to land excursions or fishing is available. Please check with the captain about availability of the boat and the driver.

Jet Ski

Quest 1 provides a Yamaha V700 2stroke jet ski for rent on a daily basis for 150 US$/day. Please ask the captain or Justin for introduction and details of usage. To avoid any wrong handling by the guest, the captain and crew only will load, fill, wash, maintains the Jet ski and give precise instruction how to operate it. Any mayor damage due to wrong handling or not following the instructions of the crew while using will be the responsibility of the guest and need to be covered.

• 11 Night Trip: $4,125 - $4,438 per person
