THE SURF

Some of the best waves in the world are right at your doorstep. Indo perfection, almost every day. Too good to be true. It’s Bali.

From The Chillhouse it takes you only five minutes by car or bike to reach a variety of different waves suitable for all levels. Punchy beachbreaks, long pointbreaks with easy paddle, there are 12 waves right here at our home beach. It’s great not to have to sit in the car for hours to reach the spot, and this is why we have chosen Canggu as our base. Remote from town, but close to the surf that works in almost all conditions and suits most levels!

At Echo Beach, our home beach 1 mile from us, there are a number of quality spots like Brawa, Batu Bolong, Old Mens’, Pererenan, and the renowned Canggu Left and Right. These breaks are so diverse, and surfers of all levels will have a good time. Depending on the conditions (when the swell is very big or very small) we drive along the coast and choose from the more than 60 waves within a distance of one hour. Our experience helps us find the best spot for your level.

ACCOMMODATIONS

The Chillhouse is a traditional retreat situated in Canggu amongst the rice fields on the southern shores of Bali, offering guest’s quality accommodation and delicious organic meals, along with surf guiding, massage treatments, yoga sessions, and a wide range of fitness as well as cultural activities.

The retreat features full board, The Gerry Lopez Treetop Loft, six luxurious double bungalows with private gardens, single and double rooms, a spacious pool, and unlimited wi-fi internet.

Situated about 5 miles North of the busy tourist center Kuta/Legian it is just a five minutes ride to the ocean! Ride down by bike, car, complimentary beach cruisers or our daily beach shuttle, chill out at relaxed bars and restaurants or surf a number of quality waves that suit all surfing levels and work at almost all tides and swells.

• Surf sessions included in the packages are scheduled Monday to Friday mornings. Our location allows guests to surf as much as they like outside guided sessions.
• Afternoon and Saturday coaching can be booked at extra cost in advance or on site (the Super Surf package includes afternoon coaching.
• Surfboard hire costs $67,- per week, surfboard insurance costs $40,- per week, both are not included in the package price.
