We at Surf Express have created a unique customized surf package with quality and service. There are lefts, rights, barrels, thick long walls are some of the offer that we can guarantee when we receive South and North Swells from a wide open window 600 miles from Mainland Ecuador.

Surf with marine iguanas, sea lions and other beautiful species here in the Archipelago. The Galapagos Islands was the first National Park declared a UNESCO Natural Heritage Site in 1978. Truly a unique site discovered for its evolutionary findings by Charles Darwin in 1835.

Surf and visit the National Park. Surf Express Ecuador collaborates directly with the local Surf Club employing native guides directly. This helps the local economy and sustainable travel to the Islands.

On San Cristobal Island we have over 18 known surf breaks, being the most famous:
  • Punta Carola - Is a heavy top to bottom right hander, freight train barrel and can be surfed for about 300 yards.
  • Cannon - Is a left point break which is a fun ride that can be surfed up to 10 feet.
  • Tongo Reef – A long left point with a beautiful barrel.
  • Outer Reef - High Tide , right hander and Low Tide we surf the left.
  • Manglecito - An Indo-type left.
  • Craters - Another barrel fest wave with turquoise water.
  • Loberia - Where the surfer becomes a water man!
  • And more….

Surf Express Ecuador is one of the pioneer companies to bring in surfers in tour packages to Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands since 1996.

Accommodations

Our accommodations are located at Wreck Bay right on the ocean. The rooms accommodate up to two people each and come with a private bathroom, air conditioning, hot water, mini refrigerator, and cable TV. There are gardens with coconut palms and Cactus Opuntia around the premise. Directly in front of the hotel you have very good snorkeling as well. The closest beach is Playa Man about 10 minutes walking distance. You have a dock right in front where you will get picked up by boat to go surf. There is also a bar and social area being constructed on the premises for your enjoyment. The hotel is located four minutes from the town center.

The town of Puerto Baquerizo is a small and laid back town. There are some restaurants where priority is set upon a seafood based cuisine. Menus range from 6 to 25 USD per meal a la carte. You can eat for less if you pre-order lunches and dinners for around 6 USD. Night life is simple, but fun, a couple of bars and discoteques ( with good salsa dancing ).

  • Scuba Diving - It is possible to dive with local operators. 120 USD per day per person, includes equipment, transfers, lunch and guide. (World Class Diving).
       Kicker Rock 2 immersions.
  • Fishing Option 1 - Full day, Russian Bank- World Class Fishing for the Striped Marlin (just 38 miles away). 1500 USD per day (Max 4 Pax). Vertigo 2 fishing vessel.
       Catch and Release.
  • Fishing Option 2 - Half day Trolling or reef fishing nearby reefs, Bonito Tuna, Wahoo, Yellow fin and the Galapagos Grouper. 400 USD (Max 4 Pax). Keep your catch.
